   CEO
Ms Jodieann Dawe was appointed as CEO of WQRA Limited commencing on 2 June 2008.

Chair
Professor Michael R. Moore was confirmed as Chairman of the Board of WQRA Limited on 11 July 2008.

Board of Directors
WQRA is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board will set policy strategic directions and budgets for WQRA, as well as monitoring the performance and progress of the full range of WQRA activities. The Board consists of an independent Chairperson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and seven Directors elected by the Members. Of the seven elected Directors, four are nominated by the Industry Members and three are nominated by the Research Members. General Members are not eligible to nominate Directors.
The elected Board of Directors was appointed in December 2007.

•  Jan Bowman, Department of Human Services Victoria (one year term)

•  John Howard, Australian Water Quality Centre (two year term)
•  Chris Davis, University of Technology Sydney (two year term)
•  John McNeil, Monash University (one year term).


Management Team

A initial Management Team consists of the CEO (Ms Jodieann Dawe), the Chief Operating Officer (Mr Simon Newbold), the Program Manager - Drinking Water Quality (Dr David Haliwell), and the Program Manager - Recycled Water and Wastewater (Dr Michele Akeroyd). The research and education activities of the Company will be co-ordinated by the Management Team through Programs and Projects with particular reference given to the priorities identified by the Members.

Advisory Committees
Two Advisory Committees will also be established to assist the Board, the, CEO and the Research Program Managers in developing, conducting and evaluating the activities of WQRA:

Scientific Advisory Committee
Chair: Prof John McNeil, Monash University
This committee will:
(a) Advise on the nature and scope of the strategic research required to address the major water quality issues related to drinking water, recycled water and relevant areas of water management in Australia;
(b) Provide advice on the quality and cost-effectiveness of the research program funded by the Company;
(c) Provide advice on research priorities;
(d) Suggest research areas and strategies appropriate to address looming issues for the water industry; and
(e) Advise on the research capability needed by the Company to allow it to undertake strategic research.

Regulatory Advisory Committee
Chair: Ms Jan Bowman, Department of Human Services Victoria
This committee will:
(a) Advise the Board on emerging regulatory and health issues;
(b) Provide input to research strategies;
(c) Advise on science needed to underpin progressive health regulation; and
(d) Advise on how research outputs may be integrated and incorporated into guidelines and regulations.
